After a brief moment, Gwynn came back to her senses.

She called her assistant over and asked her to entertain the customers while she took Anderson to her personal office.

They were family, but things were a little awkward between them.

She made him some tea and said, “Do you still like Fortnum & Mason?”

He sat on the single couch and swept his eyes across the room. Gwynn’s doodles and sketches were everywhere. Her faint perfume odor was lingering in the air too.

Now, however, he could never address her as his aunt.

He stared at her while her back was turned to him and said in a husky voice, “Grandpa didn’t mean to set you up with Grayson for real. He was just testing me to see if I still had any lingering feelings.”

Gwynn paused briefly before she continued making tea.

Her back was still turned to him when she said, “I should’ve felt happy for you, now that Mr. Archibald entrusted you with important tasks. However, it was embarrassing how I got dragged back into the mess.
